Getting to the Heart of Leadership

Leadership is one of those ambiguous roles in life and business that is hard to define and critically important to master.

• Are leaders born or made?
• Are leadership and management the same thing?
• Can leadership be taught in a classroom or only through experience?
• What gives a leader his or her influence; is it charisma, control, caring or something else?

This week, I’m asking you to share your best, worst or most misunderstood concepts of leadership. As the title suggests, there is no right answer. Feel free to share your definition, a favorite quote, a specific leadership experience, your idea of the ideal leader in action, or a myth or misconception that you’d like to challenge.
